Meeting – 11/18/06
Community Regulations
The Board adopted 2 new Community Regulations:
Homeowners are responsible for removal of landscaping debris and shall not place it on the common property.
In keeping with the requirements of our covenants that North Shores properties be used exclusively for residential purposes, the properties may not be used as an event venue operated by a wedding or event planning business.
Construction plans
The Board agreed that copies of preliminary site plans, submitted for approval to the Board, will be distributed, immediately upon receipt by the office, to the contiguous neighbors (in front, behind, and each side, if applicable), with notice of a 2 week comment period, and that the Board will await the expiration of the 2 week period before voting, in order to consider any comments received.
It was also agreed to place a list on the NSBG web site of the properties for which site plans have been filed. The list will be found on the page labeled “Construction Notices.”
Landscaping Projects
The Board approved spending up to $6,000 for a proposal by the Land Tech firm, to prepare a conceptual streetscape scaled site plan, for drawings showing suggested plantings on a typical North Shores street, and around the “Tot Lot” area, and for additional boat slips at the marina.
The Board approved a proposal for drainage work on the common property on the corner at 3 Farview.
Web site
The Board considered the suggestion of a homeowner to place the Directory on the NSBG Web site. Given privacy concerns, however, the Board would not want to place the Directory on the Web unless access were limited to the homeowners; as the Board currently lacks the know how to set up a password system, the Board decided against the idea at this time.
The Board decided that summaries of its meetings should be prepared for the Web site, and as indicated above, that requests for construction permits will be listed thereon.
Board Membership
The Board considered the three candidates who expressed interest in filling Dan Anderson’s seat: Margot Anderson, Edward Strickler, and Robert Zadek, but no majority was reached to elect one of them.
