Meeting Notice – 10/29/2017
Meeting Summary: A regular meeting of the Board was held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the office of Board President Bruce Wilson. Attending the meeting in person and by teleconference were: President Bruce Wilson, Secretary Debbie Director, Treasurer Helen Hoart, ARC Head Paul Salditt, Vice President Louisa Hollman, and attorney Robert Valihura.
The meeting was called to order by President Wilson at 6:03 p.m. and a quorum was declared. The Board met in executive session to discuss with counsel the litigation filed by a North Shores homeowner.
President Wilson presented a paving proposal from Peninsula Paving as an additional item of business. The proposal and paving site map had been circulated to the board prior to the meeting. The paving proposal covers the entire neighborhood, but current year work would be limited to S. Rodney Street, Harbor Road and the pool parking lot. According to Steve Houston, the Peninsula Paving Proposal reflected a desire by the contractor to establish a relationship with the community, and the proposal was the lowest bid of three received for the neighborhood paving project. Work is tentatively scheduled for the end of November, but may need to be extended into the spring depending on prevailing temperatures. Homeowners in the side and west villas will need to relocate their vehicles to the marina area during the project. The office will coordinate notifications with the homeowners. After discussion, and pending a review of the submitted bids, the proposal was tentatively approved by the Board at the meeting. [Subsequent to the meeting, the Board then confirmed their unanimous approval by email following further review of the submitted bids.]
