Meeting Summary May 25, 2019
A meeting of the Board was held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the Rehoboth Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave, Rehoboth Beach Delaware, following the Annual Meeting for North Shores property owners. Present at the meeting were board members Bruce Wilson, Debbie Director, Helen Hoart, Louisa Hollman, Evan Thalenberg and Paul Salditt(emeritus).
Review and ratification of the votes taken by email was the first item of business on the Agenda. Votes taken by email since March 30, 2019 were reviewed by the directors. A complete list of votes taken by email was included in the Agenda. President Wilson moved to approve the email votes and they were approved unanimously.
Review and ratification of votes taken by email:

a. 18 Farview construction application (fence) – approved
b. March 23, 2019 Meeting Minutes – approved
c. Board Resolution Inspector of Elections Appointment – approved
d. 27 Harbor Road construction application (dock) – approved
e. March 11, 2019 Meeting Minutes – approved

The next item of business was the appointment of officers of the corporation and board assignments. After a brief discussion, a motion was made and unanimously approved, to appoint the directors in their current board positions as follows:
Bruce Wilson, President
Debbie Director, Secretary
Evan Thalenberg, Assistant Secretary
Helen Hoart, Treasurer
Louisa Hollman, Vice President
The directors then moved to appoint Paul Salditt, as an officer of the Corporation, in the role of ARC Head and Director Emeritus.
President Wilson then reviewed a list of items brought to the Board’s attention at the Annual Meeting:
• Homeowners expressed interest in exploring a community wide program for trash pick up with a single company. The objective benefits would be: an efficient rate structure, improved safety by reducing the number of trucks servicing the area, and wear and tear on the roads.
• A resident of S. Rodney requested the installation of a speed bump be explored again. The Board will explore traffic calming measures as an alternative to a speed bump. President Wilson recalled the Rehoboth Fire Department had requested no speedbump be installed on S. Rodney because it is the main access road to the pool area for emergency vehicles.
• There was community interest again this year in extending the hours of the pool past 6:00 p.m. as well as staying open later into the month of September. The Board agreed to investigate the additional staffing that would be needed, as well as the continued maintenance, to keep the pool open in September, which is currently handled by the staff rather than a pool maintenance company.
President Wilson discussed with the Board drainage improvements that would be needed along Farview Road. He has requested a proposal for drainage upgrades along the south side of Farview near Harbor Road, an area that experiences reoccurring standing water. New home construction is expected in that area.
