Meeting of Board of Directors
August 31, 2021
A special meeting of the Board was held on Friday, August 31, 2021. Due to the short notice given in arranging the meeting, notice of the meeting announcement was waived. The meeting was called to order and a quorum was declared. Attending the meeting by teleconference were: President Bruce Wilson, Vice President Steven Hollman, Secretary Debbie Director, Treasurer Helen Hoart, and Assistant Secretary Evan Thalenberg.
The first item on the Agenda was the review and ratification of votes taken by email since June 4, 2021. A complete list of votes was included in the meeting Agenda and reviewed by the directors. President Wilson asked the Board if there were any questions or comments. There were no questions, and upon motion duly made and seconded to ratify the votes taken by email, the motion was approved by all.

The next item of business was the end of season staff bonuses for senior staff. The bonus schedule had been circulated prior to the meeting. Background information for the recommended bonus levels was provided by President Wilson. The Board discussed the current compensation level for members of the senior staff and departing Community Executive James Allen. The compensation package for incoming Community Executive, Jeff Sellman, was also discussed by the Board. President Wilson summarized for the Board the beach and pool management for the 2021 summer season. He made bonus and compensation recommendations for Capt. Kent Buckson. The Board voted to approve the end of season bonuses unanimously.
Vice President Steve Hollman inquired about homeowner comments for the proposed construction and rental fees that were approved at the annual meeting in May. President Wilson indicated community input would be taken into the fall. The proposed fees will be discussed by the Board at the September meeting.
