Special Board Meeting – 04/23/11
Contractor Rob Whitford of Precision Marine, representing the applicants, advised the Board that his clients would resubmit the plans with a new design that shortens the proposed extension by at least 2 feet. He was advised that a site plan showing adjacent lot lines is required, and he was requested to submit a drawing that shows the North Shores Yacht Basin with existing piers and potential ones at the length requested by the applicants, drawn in along all private properties around the edge.
The Board resolved to consider the idea of issuing long term leases for privately built docks built in the North Shores Yacht Basin and Yacht Channel. The Board decided to submit questions to counsel re Board authority to permit and license the privately built docks.
