Bank Deposits:

It was decided to move no more money into or out of the Vanguard Money Market account for the time being. Incoming deposits will be left in the checking account, where they will be available to pay the anticipated expenses for the bulkhead/boatslips contracts.

Directory:

The Board confirmed its decision to prepare a Directory for 2009. The Board decided to send out a Notice for Directory Changes, with a deadline of February 15, 2009. It is hoped to have the 2009 Directory ready for distribution with the Annual Meeting mailing on April 15, 2009.

2009 Board Election:

Board Member Joan Churchill, whose term expires in 2009, informed the Board that she is willing to serve another term. The Board set a deadline of March 30, 2009 for anyone else interested in serving to notify the Board, by submission of a statement and/or bio.

Mailings:

The Board agreed to two future mailings to the community:

Mid January, 2009:

  • Advance notice of election at Annual Meeting for one seat on the Board and notice of deadline of March 30, 2009 for submissions of candidacy
  • Form for Directory changes, with return deadline of 2/15/09.

April 15, 2009: Notice of Annual Meeting with assessment bill and Annual Report, etc.

Insurance:

It was agreed to meet with our insurance Agent in May, to review our insurance coverage.
