Election for Board Members at next Annual Meeting
Margot Anderson announced that she is willing to run for election for another term.
Fred Rockwell announced that he will be unable to serve another term.
Ed Betz notified the Board that he is, as yet, undecided.
The Board set March 31, 2008 as the deadline for other interested homeowners to declare their candidacy, by submitting written notice thereof to the North Shores office and a statement or resume.
Bulkhead
After hearing from Frank Young, structural engineer, that the Board should be thinking in terms of replacement of the bulkhead in a 3-5 year time frame, the Board decided to defer the work for now. The Board will seek direction from the community at the Annual Meeting regarding whether the majority would prefer to pay an increased assessment over the next few years, so we can save up for it, or would prefer a large special assessment when the project is undertaken.
Dune Grass
The Board considered a proposal to widen the area of the dune grass planting, which would require putting up a new sand fence. The Board voted to defer consideration of the proposal for another year, in order to evaluate the effect of the extensive planting being done this year, behind the existing sand fence.
Boat slip leases
The Board voted not to adopt the suggestion, received from a resident, to conduct an annual lottery for allocation of the boat slip leases. The Board decided that in view of the large waiting list for boat slips, the rental fees should be substantially increased, but decided not to revisit the amounts set for 2008, as notice regarding them was previously sent to the community.
Beach Umbrella & Chairs Concession
The Board decided to adopt the Beach Club Manager’s recommendation that umbrella identification tags be issued this year. It was further decided that a member of the umbrella crew be stationed on the beach throughout the period each day that the umbrellas are up.
Fill Dirt
It was agreed that fill dirt from the dredging project will be offered to interested members of the community.

The Board set April 3 2008, 5pm, for its next regular meeting.
