A regular meeting of the Board was held on Saturday, May 23, 2020 following the Annual Meeting for North Shores property owners. Notice of the meeting was announced and posted on the North Shores website. Attending the meeting by teleconference, in compliance with the Delaware State of Emergency, were: President Bruce Wilson, Secretary Debbie Director, Treasurer Helen Hoart, Vice President Louisa Hollman and Assistant Secretary Evan Thalenberg.  Also joining the meeting was Community Executive, James Allen.

The first item on the Agenda was the review and ratification of votes taken by email taken since May 13, 2020.  A complete list of votes was included in the meeting Agenda and reviewed by the directors.  President Wilson asked the Board if there were any questions or comments. There were no questions and Mr. Wilson moved to ratify the votes taken by email, the motion was seconded and approved by all.

Review and ratification of votes taken by email:

  1. 13 Harbor Road Construction Application (new home) – approved
  2. 28 Harbor Road Construction Application (minor) – approved

The next item of business was the assignment of Board positions.  After a brief discussion, a motion was made and unanimously approved, to reappoint the directors in their current board positions as follows:

Bruce Wilson, President

Debbie Director, Secretary

Evan Thalenberg, Assistant Secretary

Helen Hoart, Treasurer

Louisa Hollman, Vice President

President Wilson then reviewed a list of items brought to the Board’s attention at the Annual Meeting:

  • A straw poll on community wide trash collection was taken. Homeowners expressed interest in exploring a community wide program for trash pick-up with a single company.  The objective benefits would be: an efficient rate structure, improved safety by reducing the number of trucks servicing the area, wear and tear on the roads and improved service.
  • ARC construction issues discussed at the meeting indicated the need for more comprehensive rules to improve the regulation of construction.
  • Guidance on the new parking passes issued for the 2020 season indicated a two year expiration for replacement of the passes.

The meeting was adjourned.
